Clotilde Sors
Determined, discreet and passionate, Clotilde Sors is the violinist of the Ensemble la Mandorle. Keen to pursue a historically informed practice, she performs a wide repertoire ranging from the 17th century to contemporary works.
Winner of several competitions (1st Prize at the Cortemilia International Competition in Italy), she appears regularly in recital in France and abroad (Fenice in Venice, Estate Romana Festival in Rome, Festival des Nuits lyriques du Ventoux, Stras'Orgues Festival, etc.) and plays with various ensembles such as the Poème harmonique, Ensemble Marguerite Louise, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, and the Parlement de musique.
In 2024, she obtained her master's degree in modern violin from the CNSM in Paris, with congratulations from the jury, and is currently pursuing two master's degrees in pedagogy and baroque violin at the HEAR in Strasbourg. She has studied with Alexis Galpérine (CNSM de Paris), Réka Szilvay (Sibelius Academy) and Stéphanie Pfister (Académie Supérieur de Musique de Strasbourg).
Convinced that the life of a musician is not limited to concert halls, Clotilde regularly performs in a variety of venues (hospitals, retirement homes, schools, etc.).
Clotilde plays an 18th-century Tyrolean violin and a baroque violin made by Pierre Caudal.
